Chief Engineer Oko is a distinguished maritime expert and a proud alumnus of St. Augustine’s College, Cape Coast. With a passion for the maritime industry, he embarked on his career by graduating as a Pre-sea engine cadet from the esteemed Regional Maritime Academy in 2002.

During his early years, Chief Engineer Oko gained invaluable experience through his cadetship training with Tsakos Shipping Company Limited, where he worked on oil tankers. His dedication and commitment to his craft led him to explore further opportunities, including a brief tenure with Lamnalco in Nigeria. Later, he embarked on exciting journeys with Ethiopian Shipping Lines and Pacific Carriers Ltd., steadily progressing through the ranks until he achieved the esteemed position of Chief Engineer in 2014. In January 2018, he transitioned to an onshore role, bringing his extensive seafaring experience and expertise to diverse organizations such as Benmarine Offshore Services Ltd., DNV-GL BmS Ghana JV Ltd, and presently with Ghana Maritime Authority.

Driven by a thirst for continuous growth and development, Chief Engineer Oko is currently pursuing an MBA program to complement his extensive practical knowledge with a strong foundation in business management. Beyond his professional endeavors, he is a responsible family man, residing in Amasaman, Accra, with his loved ones.

With a remarkable career spanning both seafaring and onshore roles, Chief Engineer Oko brings a wealth of experience, technical acumen, and a deep understanding of the maritime industry to his current position.
